What is an orientation?

An orientation is specific to master programmes. It corresponds to a consistent set of teaching units, worth 30 credits for a master of at least 120 credits.

These 30 credits are spread over the 2 years of master. This set of 30-credits teaching units confers specialising complementary skills and leads to a distinct academic degree. It can prepare for teaching, research or any other professional sector.

Example: For the Master in History of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, three orientations are offered: archives and documents, history and administrations and finally didactics.
